New Guest Beer - Tsingtao

The new guest beer is Tsingtao from China's largest brewery. It was originally founded by German settlers in China back in 1903. The company was eventually absorbed by the state after the Second World War then spun off as a private corporation in 1993. Currently, Asahi is the biggest outside investor in the Tsingtao. The beer is sold around the world and makes up for more than 50% of China's beer exports.

All in all it's a nice easy drinking Pilsner. Come and enjoy one tonight!

St. Patrick's Day, 2011

Thanks to everyone for coming out for St. Patrick's Day this year. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and had some fun. Lots of Guinness going out. How are you all enjoying the new glasses?

March Newsletter

Hi everyone. Welcome to the March newsletter.

Sat 12th Asao san and his friends will be having an Irish music session in the Darts room from about 8 oclock. Drop by and listen to Irish music as it should be played.

We`ll be celebrating St Patricks Day on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th this year.

• 800 yen Guinness pints.
• 650 yen Guinness 3/4 pints.
• Eibisu will be green on request.
• All Irish whiskey and other Irish drinks 500yen. 

Please wear all the green you can. Except Thursday 17th all other Thursdays are 350yen cocktail nights.

We have a new Guinness and food set. A 3/4 pint of Guinness and Fish and Chips 1100yen.

Guinness Perfect Pint Lab!

Friday night The Wex hosted the Guinness Perfect Pint Lab. Three lab "technicians" guided us through a quiz about Guinness and what makes it such a unique and historic beer.

Did you know Guinness has less calories than typical Kirin Lager?

We all had lots of fun and hope they'll come around again.
